I offer both individual and couples therapy for adults whose lived experience, relationships, and sense of self do not match the restrictive gender and sexuality boxes we have required people to live in.
I provide both ongoing therapy and short term consultation for artists and other creative people for whom the process of mining their experience for material or taking creative risks is emotionally demanding.
For people who are more actively involved in trying to effect change in the world, I provide help with questions like: How much can I do without burning out? Where do I want to focus my efforts? Should I take a leadership role or run for office? How do I balance this work with my role as a parent, partner?
Sometimes we come to points in our lives where the stories we've been living—about who we are and how our lives are supposed to unfold—no longer fit. I collaborate with people in developing new frameworks that can support them as they figure out where to go next.
Burnout, or the physical or mental collapse caused by overwork or stress, is an issue many people face in their day-to-day lives. Among those commonly susceptible to it are teachers, social service workers, activists and first responders.
